Vertigo
Most remember the sensation of the spinning room when from a merry go round or spinning too much at the playground. What if you experience the same symptoms without spinning?

Vertigo can have different causes. We often see people who experience vertigo or dizziness after a motor vehicle accident and a whiplash injury. The nerve receptors in the joints of the spine are affected when the spine is subluxated from a collision. The joint receptors give abnormal signals than the visual system, and vertigo is the result. Subluxations particularly in the upper neck can cause vertigo.
Severe headaches, like migraine headaches can cause vertigo. A fever or sickness can do the same. Viral ear infections are a common cause of vertigo. Chronic earaches can cause damage to the inner ear, producing these symptoms. A lack of blood flow to the brain, as with a stroke or heart arrhythmias, can produce vertigo.
Vertigo should not be ignored, and the cause must be determined. As chiropractic doctors, we are trained to evaluate vertigo. A chiropractic exam is the beginning to determine the cause. Book now!
